This weekend was my 30 year high school reunion. The dress is my version of Kay Unger's V1183. I used stretch cotton poplin from JoAnn's. The center back seam is matched below the waist. I hand stitched it with invisible thread. My husband was so proud of me, he made it a point to announce to everyone at the after party (there were seven of us) that I made my dress. What a guy! Isn't he cute?

Stunning! Fess up, you've lost weight! You totally rock this dress, I cant believe tho is Jo'Ann's fabric.ReplyDelete
I *did* lose ten pounds :) - but the dress just fits so well it looks like more. Do a Google search for V1183. Every woman who makes this dress looks great in it. All the credit goes to Kay Unger as far as I am concerned. I knew I wanted a close fit so I had to go with either a knit or a stretch woven. I had a gift card for JoAnn's so I popped in to see what I might find in a stretch cotton poplin. The Daytime Drama fabric is so on trend with all the black and white right now. Total score!Delete
Your fellow graduates must have thought you looked great! Love the dress. Very flattering!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Diana. I had a great time. Everyone looked so nice. My husband commented on how well we've all held up - lol - I don't know what he was expecting. We *are* still in our 40s!Delete
This looks great on you. That back seam is perfect. Great job!ReplyDelete
