HELP! ISO Tiny Stiletto Heel Tips

I LOVE these shoes, but I lost a heel tip and my local shoe repair guy cannot retip them because the pin size for the heel tip is smaller than the smallest one he can get.  Does anyone know where I might find stiletto heel tips with an extremely small 2.0mm pin?

  1. I can't help you on the shoe tips, I would Google it if I were you. Yo would be suprised what you can buy out there these days.
FWIW, cute shoes! How high are those heels?

  2. I am so happy! I just got a phone call from a Sr. Manager in Customer Service with Ann Taylor. She said she contacted the corporate office on my behalf to see if they could direct me to where I might be able to get lifts. They are mailing me some replacements!!! I am doing a happy dance. I asked if she could find out for me where I can get more in the future. She said she will check on that but she isn't sure they will know. I miss wearing these shoes. They cost $122.50 ($175 but I had a 30% off coupon). My husband offered to rig something up for me, but I was reluctant to take him up on his offer. Now it looks like I will soon be able to strut in my calf hair kitten heels again. Yaaaaahhhhyyy!!

  3. They are about 2.5-3 inches, a nice height that doesn't break my back. Thanks for your suggestion about google. I love having access to the internet. I cannot imagine life without it. I get a kick out of being able to search the whole world for information. I also like making on line friends - especially ones who love to sew!

  4. I'm glad that this worked out. I've gotten 2.4mm pins from before, but never any smaller than that.

  5. Mardel,
    Thanks for the tip!

I found them on line a couple of weeks ago and purchased tips with 2.4mm pins from them hoping that 2.4mm would be the right size even though I measured 2.0mm (you know - how a 2x4 isn't exactly 2" by 4" when you actually measure it). I now have some spare tips with 2.4mm pins. This is not a bad thing for a girl like me who loves to wear stilettos! I bookmarked the site for future purchases.

I got a call back from AT client services and they are unable to give me the name of a supplier for the small tips, so if anybody knows where I can find them, I am still interested.
